BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT:
Evaluate, support and provide oversight to continued community progress on commercial retail development through the partnership of Industrial Authority, Local/Regional Community Leaders.
Develop and Promote "I Shop Clark County".
Explore/advocate for business opportunities with Bluegrass Army Depot, Bluegrass Station, and the 2010 World Equestrian Games.
Explore community retirement development for Clark County.
WORKFORCE EDUCATION:
Support and expand the efforts of the Clark County business/education partnership (Partners in Education).
Support Workforce Development through ongoing and new programs. Programs include the Community Career Fair, Plant Manager`s and Human Resources Roundtable, Schools to Careers Program, Work Ethic Seal (Junior Achievement), and Work Keys and other programs deemed necessary in providing workforce/education.
ENTREPRENEURIAL CLIMATE:
Continued partnership with the Kentucky Small Business Development Center for on-site counseling for current and prospective small business owners.
Support Winchester First for successful downtown business climate.
Provide leadership, training, educational forums for area businesses and encourage best business practices of free enterprise.
